Electrician Hiring Checklist: Estimate, Earthing and Safety

Electrician को केवल “एक point लगाना है” कहकर काम शुरू न कराएं। पहले written scope लें: fault diagnosis, new wiring, switch/MCB replacement, conduit work, wall cutting और finishing में क्या-क्या शामिल है। Labour और material को अलग दिखाने वाला estimate बाद में dispute कम करता है।

Material के brand, rating और quantity लिखवाएं। High-load appliance के लिए cable size, earthing और suitable protective device की जरूरत electrician से समझें। MCB और RCCB/RCBO एक ही काम नहीं करते; आपके installation के लिए कौन-सा protection चाहिए, इसे qualified professional से तय कराएं। Live circuit पर काम शुरू होने से पहले supply isolation और tester use जरूरी है।

काम पूरा होने पर loose connection, polarity, earth continuity और protective-device operation की testing कराएं। बदले हुए parts, invoice और service warranty सुरक्षित रखें। Meter seal, sanctioned load या utility-side wiring से जुड़ा काम local distribution company और State rules के अनुसार ही होना चाहिए। Burning smell, sparks या shock risk हो तो main supply safely isolate करके emergency professional help लें; temporary tape repair पर निर्भर न रहें।
