NSP Scholarship Renewal: Check OTR and Submit Before the Scheme Deadline

The National Scholarship Portal says One Time Registration is mandatory for scholarship applications. OTR is a unique 14-digit number based on Aadhaar or Aadhaar Enrolment ID and remains linked to the student’s academic career.

For 2026–27, the portal announcement says renewal applications are currently open for the PM-USP Central Sector Scheme for College and University Students and the PM-USP Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The listed student deadline is 31 October 2026, followed by institute verification on 15 November and level-two verification on 30 November.

Students should first open the scheme listing and confirm that these dates apply to their exact scholarship. Then verify the OTR, name, institution, course and bank details before submission. Save the final application number and a PDF or screenshot of the submitted status. Payment status is checked separately through the linked PFMS service.

Do not wait for the final evening: an OTR or institute-detail mismatch may need support and cannot be fixed by changing data casually.
