RBI’s UDGAM portal helps registered users search unclaimed deposits and accounts across participating banks in one place. It is a search service—not a place where RBI pays the claim.
Start only from RBI’s official UDGAM link. For an individual search, the RBI FAQ says users select one or more banks, enter the account holder’s name and provide one or more identifiers such as PAN, driving licence, voter ID, passport number or date of birth. If those are unavailable, an address can be used instead. Non-individual searches use entity details such as PAN, CIN, date of incorporation or authorised-signatory name.
A matching result provides a bank-specific claim or settlement route. Contact that bank, keep the search result and submit the documents it asks for. The portal does not settle the amount and a third party cannot identify the account from the masked Unclaimed Deposit Reference Number alone.
Avoid agents promising instant recovery. Never share OTPs or banking passwords in a message or call.
