iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in India: New Camera, A20 Pro and Starting Price

Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are now available in India. The company unveiled the two models on 9 September 2026 and began availability on 18 September. The regular iPhone 18 was not part of this Pro announcement.

What is new?

Both phones use the A20 Pro chip and a redesigned vapour chamber for sustained performance. The 48MP Fusion Main camera adds variable aperture, giving photographers more control over light and depth of field. Apple’s Camera app also introduces Pro controls for settings such as aperture, shutter speed and white balance.

The iPhone 18 Pro models run iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence. Apple’s new Siri AI is rolling out in beta, so feature availability may vary by language and region. The phones come in burgundy, glacier, silver and black, with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options.

India price and availability

Apple’s India store lists the iPhone 18 Pro range from ₹1,64,900. Check the official store for the current price of your chosen model and storage capacity, as offers and availability can change.

Should you upgrade?

For buyers who shoot a lot of photos or video, the variable aperture and manual camera controls are the clearest reasons to consider the Pro models. If your current phone still meets your needs, compare the camera, battery and storage with your own usage before spending on an upgrade.
