National SC-ST Hub Update Highlights MSME Training and Procurement Support

A DD India update published on 8 October 2026 highlights the National SC-ST Hub’s role in helping Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs develop business capabilities and access institutional markets.

An existing programme

The hub was launched in 2016 and is implemented through the National Small Industries Corporation. Today’s update describes the programme’s progress; it is not an announcement of a newly launched scheme.

Training and procurement readiness

Support includes mentoring, training, technology assistance and market connections. The report said the programme had assisted 1,90,414 beneficiaries and trained 54,499 candidates as of 31 July 2026.

Support depends on scheme conditions

The update discusses capital subsidy, registration, marketing and reimbursement components. Entrepreneurs should verify the relevant NSIC or hub guidelines before applying, because conditions differ between components. Programme participation does not guarantee a government contract, financing approval or automatic subsidy payment.
