Guwahati’s Shilp Samagam Mela opened on 21 October and is scheduled to continue until 28 October 2026. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment identifies the venue as Farm Gate, Khanapara, with public visiting hours from 11 am to 9 pm.
According to the ministry, 75 artisans, including 31 women, are participating with approximately 40 varieties of handloom and handicraft products. Artisans from the North-East are taking part alongside makers from other regions.
The fair offers visitors an opportunity to buy directly from participating craftspeople. It also gives artisans a route to meet customers and build market connections beyond the event.
For shoppers, a useful approach is to ask about the material, care instructions and maker before comparing prices. Keep the seller’s contact details and a purchase record, particularly for an item that may need later delivery. These are practical shopping suggestions, rather than services promised by the organiser.
The official notices cited here do not establish an entry-ticket price. Confirm any access arrangements before travelling, and avoid relying on unofficial booking or payment links.
