A collection of FASTag text messages can be difficult to review after a long trip. A statement gives you a clearer record of the deductions to compare.
ICICI Bank’s official explanation describes statement information such as the amount, deduction time and toll location. Its download guidance is specific to its own service; other issuers may use different menus.
Use your issuer’s official channel and choose the period covering the journey. Compare the entries with the vehicle, route and dates involved. Distinguish a recharge from a toll deduction before adding up the journey cost.
For an entry you cannot explain, retain the transaction reference and the relevant route details. Ask the issuer to investigate the specific debit rather than sending an entire account history to an unknown support number.
A similar-looking pair of entries is a reason to check, not enough evidence on its own to declare a duplicate charge. The issuer’s response and applicable records matter.
Keep the statement private where it reveals travel history. This guide does not promise a refund, establish a toll rate or describe a universal account-closure process. It is a practical method for turning an unclear debit into a traceable query.
