A recruiter asking for an “NCS registration fee” is making a claim you should check before paying. The National Career Service says it charges no fee for registration, job applications or interview processing.
NCS is a Ministry of Labour and Employment initiative providing job search, matching, career content and related services. Its official website also warns about people and websites claiming an association with the service.
Keep the vacancy reference, employer name, role, location and the message that asked for money. Compare the vacancy and contact details with the information available through the official service. A copied logo alone does not verify a recruiter.
Ask for the role and employment terms in writing before sharing more documents. Keep personal identification out of public comments and avoid sending authentication codes to someone offering to complete registration for you.
If a caller claims NCS affiliation, use the official support details on the portal to cross-check the claim. Do not use only the contact number supplied in the suspicious message.
A job listing is an opportunity to assess, not a guarantee of selection or salary. This guide concerns NCS’s own free services; it does not endorse a named employer or certify every off-platform recruitment message.
